There are actually a number of different sales for buying tickets. The most important step to take first is to check ticket availability by visiting
Liverpool FC's website.
From there, you can buy available Liverpool tickets. Anfield uses NFC (Near Field Communication) for stadium entry. In other words your tickets are stored digitally on a smartphone, in the form of an NFC pass. This also applies to Season Ticket Holders and Members.
Liverpool FC has good relationships with Merseytravel and local operators to make it as simple as possible for you to reach the stadium on match day.
Bus services are extremely fast: "Express" services can get you from Liverpool City Centre to Anfield in around 15 minutes. Routes 26, 17 and 917 all go directly to the ground.
The
'Soccerbus' runs from Sandhills Station, on the Merseyrail Northern Line, to Anfield two hours before all Premier League and Cup matches. Prices start from as little as £2.00 for a single Adult ticket.
To get the most out of your visit, make sure to arrive early. Some fans even wait outside Liverpool's luxurious 'Titanic Hotel' to see the players make their way to the stadium on the morning of matches.
A few hours before the match, you'll probably see plenty of roadside stalls selling soccer memorabilia and souvenirs. If you prefer to save your money, head straight to Anfield Stadium and take in some of the murals of footballing greats.
Make sure to bring your camera phone too, so you can snap a picture of the 14-foot bronze statue of Bill Shankly out front, as well as the famous Paisley Gates.
Once you've found your seat and the game starts, put away your phone and join in with some traditional player songs and chants like "You'll never walk alone."
There's no better way to explore one of England's greatest and most historic stadiums than to take a behind the scenes tour.
If you're set on this, our best advice is to go on days immediately after a game. Technically you can still take tours on match days but it's likely some areas will be restricted.
The Liverpool FC website also states that due to concerts LFC Stadium Tours won't be available in June 2024.
If you opt for the official tour, you'll have a chance to access must-see locations including Liverpool FC's Press Conference Room, the 'This Is Anfield' sign, the Player's Tunnel, the Managerial Dugout and even the Home Team Dressing Room.
Your ticket also grants you access to the Club's interactive museum. Visit the LIverpool FC
dedicated bookings page to arrange your tour.
If you fancy a tipple at one of the pubs near Anfield, you can do much worse than the one that was voted the very best for a pre-match drink by the Liverpool Echo.
Most importantly, the Shandon is where Liverpool FC began. It was right here in 1892 where local brewer John Houlding. Everton also used the premises as a dressing room and the pub even played host to Liverpool's first ever football team St. Domingo's.
This means the Shandon isn't just a place to enjoy a quiet pint but a living museum of football history.
The last thing you want is to hear your stomach rumbling when a match is in full swing. As always, Anfield's got your back through the Boot Room restaurant.
Not only is this an ideal place to relax before a game but if you make a reservation as part of a
special package, you can also a three course meal, pre-match entrance to Liverpool's interactive museum, as well as a visit from a former LFC/LFCW player.
You can even return to the Boot Room at full time for tea, coffee and refreshments.
After filling your footie boots and yelling your lungs out watching your favourite team, what better to wind down for a post-match debrief in your private sanctuary, where comfort meets convenience.
