Discover the rhythm of Liverpool in 2024 with our ultimate music festival calendar. Immerse yourself in a year of unforgettable music.
Summer's almost upon us and Liverpool's heating up with a huge range of award-winning festivals. This July, Sefton Park will host a selection of live music from all the greatest genres for the 4-day 'In the Park' Festival. The complete lineup and ticket prices have yet to be announced but Liverpool's very own Scouse sensation Jamie Webster will be there on the first day, with special guests 'The Reytons'.
For those who can't wait until July to experience open-air live music, 'On the Waterfront' will be returning to Liverpool's Pier Head on Thursday 20th – Sunday 23rd June 2024. Some of the confirmed acts to date include multi-platinum selling Deacon Blue, as well as one of electronic music's rising stars Ben Hemsley.
More details for both venues will be confirmed in the coming weeks. If we were you, we’d get ahead of the game by

What is it? An annual festival showing the best of Liverpool's talent.
When is it? Saturday 4th May - Sunday 5th May 2024
Where is it? Grand Central Dome (Main Event) + Other venues
Why go? Sound City is both a chance to see the very best of Liverpool's independent artists, as well as a two-day digital conference for key players in the industry.
If you're more at home in the club room than the conference room, you can still enjoy the truly amazing lineup Sound City has in store this year from homegrown Red Rum Club to Cameron Hayes, Kitty, Soft Launch and Toby Sebastian.
Sound City is a multi venue event. The big names like Red Rum Club and Caity Baser will perform at the Grand Central Dome along Renshaw Street, just a 12 minute walk from Kabannas Liverpool.
Other, more intimate venues like the Arts Club Theatre and The Jacaranda will play host to other acts.
Special mention should go to Sound City's ticketing systems, which is done through colourful wristbands.
What is it? One of the world's leading electronic dance music festivals with a jaw dropping lineup.
When is it? Thursday 22nd – Sunday 25th August 2024
Where is it? Daresbury, Cheshire - just between Liverpool and Manchester.
Why go? This festival has been held in the UK every August Bank Holiday weekend since 1998.
Since then it's snowballed from a 24 hour event to a 4-day music marathon, with camping options for over 80,000 people every Summer.
In 2022, the festival was renamed 'Creamfields North', so as not to be confused with the new Creamfields events being held in the South of England.
Creamfields 2024 lineup includes Calvin Harris, Chase & Status LIVE, Tiësto, Michael Bibi, Steve Angello B2B Secret Special Guest, Belters Only and many more.
Festival goers are free to buy individual passes to visit on specific days or more expensive camping passes to stay over. There are various tiers of camping, including a 'luxury' option.
The Creamfields website provides detailed information on how to get down to the venue, which is around 30 minutes' drive from Liverpool itself. Travel company 'Big Green Coach' are also offering return journeys for non-drivers.
The only downside that we can see is this event is for over 18's only, so if your kids are big into the electronic music scene, you may need to find another venue.
What is it? A one-day event celebrating the best in classic dance music
When is it?
Saturday 7th September 2024
Where is it? Sherdley Park, St Helens, Merseyside.
Why go? If there's no school like the old school, then Reminisce is definitely the headmaster.
The event has been held every year since 2014. There's no camping but Reminisce's all-star lineup never disappoints. Last year the venue played host to big names like Whigfield and Fatman Scoop.
This September, the festival has even more vintage dance acts and pop classics, including DJs John Kelly and Lisa Pin Up. Reminisce goers can also look forward to live performances from the likes of Judge Jules, Katumba and MC Cover.
There's no parking at the event but the Reminisce website states there'll be designated drop off and pick up points for private vehicles. Arriva will also be running return shuttle buses to Liverpool Lime Street.
Like Creamfields, Reminisce is for over-18's only.
What is it? A lively sanctuary, where the space is as ample as your guest list.
Where is it? At the heart of the city in Kansas Buildings, Mathew St.
When can I go? Our Reception is open 24/7, so you can come back from a gig as late as you want.
Why go? After a hard day's night that would make even Ringo want to sleep like a log, you'll need a chilled sanctuary to recharge your party batteries before you go to your next gig.
